Welcome to Nigel Oakley Writes

While anything can be a stimulus for a story, as a fiction writer, I mainly write about coming-of-age, crime and historical events.

‘Warrior Princess, Errant Page,' my historical novel about Good King Wenceslas’s Page, was published in March 2025, and is available to order now. The sequel, ‘Podevin and the Queen’s Death,’ was published in December of the same year and is available here.

During my teaching career, I travelled halfway around the world - to end up fifty miles from where I was born. Originally a ‘Shropshire Lad,’ I now live in Lichfield, where I spend my time walking, being involved in my local church, and – writing.
